After all, it's only a haircut. Right?

I walked into Ulta in Florissant, Missouri at 10 am, not really knowing what I wanted. Judy looked at my hair for a moment, and then she said she was going to cut my hair like she would her brother’s hair, since it had about the same amount of curl and wave as mine, and I could let her know what I think.

Needless to say, I’m extremely happy with her work. When she was checking me out at the end, and she was plugging my info into Ulta’s system, she asked my month and date of birth.

When I said September 4th she froze, and tears began to well in her eyes. That brother she spoke of has passed. His birthday is September 4th. We talked some more and it turns out she has another family member (can’t remember who) that shares a birthday with my mom.

At the end she gave me a hug, and said she hopes I’ll be back.

I don’t believe in coincidence. I believe that people come into my life for a reason. I’m anxious to learn why Judy and I have been brought together.
